Caterpillars

C- is for caterpillar

we went outside and took the lid off the empty sandbox and found lots of caterpillars

We had planned on doing caterpillars in a week we just bumped it up a week!

They had sooo much fun! Some just admired from a distance others had to have at least one in their hand at all times!

The whole week they had to check on them everyday multiple time!!

Then we went inside and had a caterpillar themed lunch.
The caterpillar grapes ate holes in our sandwiches (aka the straw)

they all ate the leaves under the caterpillar too (baby spinach)

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar at story time and did a coloring page to go with is!

It was neat listening all week to the kids retelling the story to each other with the book.
We went over all the food that is good for you and bad for you and they would go over that too!!
They really enjoyed caterpillar week!!!

Easter Sensory bin

This is what our Easter sensory bin looked like!

This is the second one!! They had a blast with both of them. I wasn't if the second one would keep them entertained but they loved it!

And more Easter

Egg coloring preschool style!!

I love coloring our eggs this way it is more hands on!

Plus it is more color on the egg and less on their fingers and clothes!

1st we write their name on the egg with white crayon and we talk about how we can't see it.  Then we talk about the magic ingredient Vinegar and spoon some on top, next we add a drop of our 1st color and swirl the colander around then we add just one more color to make a marble/tie dye effect!!

More Easter

Easter egg water coloring

I love reuse!

We used our dried out marker and painted our Easter eggs

Just dip them in water and paint away!!

Easter

Easter Week!!

The kids enjoyed painting with balloons

believe it or not no one tried to play with the balloons!

In the end there were no 2 alike!

U is for Umbrella

One more umbrella project!

I love simple crafts that the kids just get creative with!

I just cut a paper plate in half with curves on the bottom

drew lines for different sections to color

they colored them however they wanted and I hot glued a popsicle stick to it and done!!

More Umbrella fun!

Continuing our U is for umbrellas

1st we glued an umbrella shape to our paper

Next we put some blue paint for rain on it

then we turned the paper upside down and blew the paint up (down when u flip it back around)

to create rain coming down!

We had some interesting rain storms!

The kids loved blowing the paint around with straws!

Last we just added a pipe cleaner in the shape of an umbrella handle.

U is for Umbrella

We took our left over strips from 3D rainbow

and decorated our U

I had them tear the strips and glue them on!

Next we went crazy with some U stamps!

The big capital U was there favorite!
